E-brake cables

ok i called around today trying to find some rear e-brake cables for the 79....and they are wanting $30+ apeice for them does this sound about right?.... or can you find them cheaper?................

i got them from O'Riellys auto parts.....when my mom gets home from work this morning i will post the price and part# for anyone else that needs some..

sry i took so long

ok here are the O'Reilly auto part part numbers for the E-brake cables incase anyone is interested...... (part# BC92922)....these were ordered for a 74 chevy C20 454 4speed...since that was what my rear came out of.......
and they costed $22.98 for the both of them......

I don't think those will work with your short bed. You might have been asked if you had a short bed but the chances of a 74 C20 short bed aren't very likely at all. So that's what is making me think you have ones for an 8ft bed.

I thought the middle piece was the one that changed the length for the bed and the ones that he got were standard length.

they are standard length......middle cable on a lwb is much longer...

Ohhh. Sorry about that then, I thought there was only two cables. I have looked at mine and didnt notice anything but two cables like front and back on the drivers side. I also need to replace mine and the spring that holds the e-brake lever up.

Think you could take some pictures? If you are able to.

can someone take pics of how the intermediate cable hooks up. when i bought my truck it was missing so i bought a new one but dont know how it should go in. i think im missing some other stuff too

ok the dumb $*& at the auto parts "sent" my parts back but i am ordering them overnight from napa so i will get my brakes on tomorow if they are the right peices but i will go out in a minute and do some work and try and get oyur picture's of how the parking brake cable hooks up and all but i will not be puting the backing plates back on till tomorow......dont have anything to clean them with etc

wow those are just what i need for my 1964 gmc 1000 thanks been having a hell of a time finding cables these are half the price of ones i bought that didnt work
