crossmember section

so i got my cross member, with the engine still in (thank god for motor plates) so i didnt have to remove it.

any tips, pictures or things i need to watch out for?

im putting rack and pinion on so i wont have to worry about steering problems with the stock steering system so therefore im gonna 2 inches.

and tips or pictures would be nice.

You might look at the No Limit Engineering front rack setup.
They may have some pics that will help you.

It gets a little tricky upfront with the cuts. Take your time and plan it out well. I've got one in the garage waiting to be installed on my burb. If your doing a rack on it "mock" up the rack before you cut it down. Make sure it will all fit. Ive thought about the rack as well when I get to mine.
Besides that it's not that bad. You WILL use a lot of blades and wheels. I used the cut off wheel and the saw on the first one we did. Second got the plasma cutter so it went alot faster.

Starting at post #108, we sectioned the frame and not the crossmember to lower the front 1.5". If the motor is to stay at the stock height relative to the frame, you may need to notch the top side of the crossmember...
