Thanks! Yes, we are going to blend them but still leave the look of the stock spot welds.

That's going to look better than stock. I messed up and ground the dimples a little too deep on some of the spots on that '65, but they still turned out ok. A local guy showed me the trick of using a 1/2" round carbide burr to replicate the spotwelds.

That is a nice trick! We were trying to puddle the TIG welds a little so when we blend them it will leave an impression. I will keep you posted on your method if we need to use it. Thanks!

Re: 1966 K15 BBW Cab Floor Repairs

Got a little more done on the Cab today.

The rockers are now fully welded in top and bottom.

We blended the spot welds in the door opening.

Very nice work

I don't know if it is just the pic, but is there a bit of a gap where the rocker meets the cab corner?

I put rockers on a '67 a couple years ago, and aside from the same need to split the upper ends, the lower part of the rocker was 1/8"+ too short.

We gapped the rocker/cab corner the same as it was stock. We were able to manipulate the rockers and cab corners to get the gap correct. The one picture shows a new cab corner patch panel just pushed against the body. This was to get our bottom edge aligned. That cab patch will be done today.

I see many cut out both the cab corner and the rockers at the same time.
Like you, I will use the cab corner to align the rocker, and then do the cab corner once the rocker is all set.

Re: 1966 K15 BBW Cab Floor Repairs

We were able to get a few more hours on the Cab today.

Cab Corner is all welded and blended.

We had a patch that was needed in the B-Pillar (Sail Panel). It is all welded in and blended.

We patched the Gas Filler Hole in the cab.

We took the cab off the stand so we could work on a few dents on the roof.

We will be rolling it on its back to dress up all the welds on the bottom of the cab tomorrow.

Everything is looking great at this point.
