If your motor is running that much worse I highly doubt it's just the spacer. When you say "now its not running like it used to 6 months ago"....did you also change something else at or around the same time, or was it just the spacer ? Last edited by RUSHNBOBO; 10-09-2011 at 03:41 PM. |

Re: need some wisdom, shes not running right.
Just the spacer. And its a 4 hole. One inch tall. She ran great before the a/c and when the a/c was installed it seemed like it would run a little lean with the a/c belt on. Then I put on the spacer and it brought her back to life. Now I have removed both the spacer and the a/c belt and now have my problem.

Re: need some wisdom, shes not running right.
Have you checked for vacume leaks?
You said that it ran a little lean after a/c install. I would say that the extra load on engine needs a little more fuel. Anything else I'm not sure about, because I'm totally confused. Could you please retell the sequence of events? Please understand, I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just having trouble picturing what you have, and have not done. Just the belt alone doesn't cause any noticeable drag until the a/c is actually turned on ...it's just freewheeling until the clutch is engaged (that's the switch inside the cab)...is this what your referring to ? A Little more detailed info and I bet we can get this deal figured out for you. |

Re: need some wisdom, shes not running right.
Even with it freewheeling it robbed a noticeable amount of power and with the clutch engaged it was worse. But that's not the problem now because I removed the belt to gain the horsepower lost. Also, I don't have any vacume leaks. And its Mech. Secondaries.
