Lower ball joint

Can anyone tell me or measure if the hole in the lower control arm is the same size on a 1/2 and 3/4 ton, what i am asking is can i put a lower 3/4 ton ball joint on a 1/2 arm. I have a 77 model c-10. Thanks

Arrow Re: Lower ball joint

sounds like your planning on doing the lift spindle project, its gonna look good.

Ive found that the best way to find answers to questions like this is to go to your nearest auto parts store and ask to see both parts side by side to compare.
From doing this i got to know some of the employees who were just as much into the project as i was.

Re: Lower ball joint

Not the same.
The 3/4-ton a-arm has a bigger ball joint hole.

Re: Lower ball joint

I was planning on measuring them but i am 7000 miles from my napa store at the moment, would like to mike both ball joints and see what the difference is. I picked up a set of used 88-98 lift spindles that i want to install when i get back. Thanks
