Brake master cylinder

I have a 1975 C10 Custom Deluxe with the metal capped BMC. Looks like this
Now I was wondering if it's possible to swap over to a master cylinder that looks like this,
Do I have to change out the booster if I swap the masters or is it just a straight swap out?

Sorry - we were moving over the weekend so I've been offline -

Two things:

a) During the move, I found the actual brake engineering release strategy, with all of the master cylinder specifications and options (for the 1974 models). As soon as I can, I'll post that up (it will help choose the right m/c).

b) In general, there are several ways for a master cylinder to not work -
* bore size
* flare type (ISO vs English)
* output side (inboard vs outboard)
* output location (ie, front brakes in front, vs front in rear)
* quick take up vs non quick take up (affects flange size)
* reservior size (affects underhood packaging)
* there may be more that I am forgetting right now

You'll need to comprehend or overcome these variables in order to determine if that m/c works for you.

Thank you for the info Keith. I was just wondering if it was feasable simply because I have seen that same type of master (the second one) on later model C10's. It's getting time to replace the one I currently have now. I figured since I'm gonna replace it, may as well update it at the same time.
