For most the hardware the 230, 250, and 292 were pretty generic. Same intake/exhaust, alt, all that stuff was interchangeable if I am not mistaken. On the passenger side of your motor, below the spark plugs in the side of the block you have 2 plates with 3 bolts in them. Again if I am not mistaken, those are indicative of a 292. Especially if the truck was originally a 3/4 ton it would stand to reason that it would come with that inline 6, if not a 283. You probably have a really low gear transmission too, if it is the original as well. Doesn't hurt to run the block numbers in any case, know exactly what you are dealing with. I like your work so far, you got me eyeballing those fender skirts, I have a stepside, but they certainly add something to your Fleetside!! Good luck on your build!
