Newb needs ideas

I"m new to this so please bear with me here. I have a few questions about where I'm headed with this project. From what I've seen I think I want about a 5 - 7 drop. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I can get there With the lowest cost by doing spindles and cutting the factory springs in the front. And, a flip kit and shackles in the rear? I guess my real question is ..... I'm not real crazy about cutting the coils in the front. What is everyones thought about air bags in the front? and, what would you all recomend? Cost? I want this to be a reliable driver when I'm done if that helps at all. Thanks in advance for any help.
