Nice work - I just got my lower kick panel burned in tonight.

Keep going - the hard stuff is hopefully behind you now...I think the driver side will go a LOT faster on mine now that I know what to expect on these patch panels.

The part highlighted below is a PITA - ask me how I know -

I included a shot of my psgr side getting done now...I might go over that area again to see if I can grind it down a bit more.

After a long hiatus of over a year and half, we have got this project going again. I don't know why the previous pictures are not showing up. They are completely gone from my photobucket account. I still have them if anyone is looking for any specific pictures but don't want to go through reposting them. I will post a couple current pictures and try to keep up with it going forward.

Yeah...I know. We have a couple two post lifts sitting right beside that area but didn't want to tie them up since this will obviously be there a while. They are doing the job for now.

Took the top back off now that we know the doors and rockers are lining up nicely. The passenger side is about done with body touch up. The drivers side will be more difficult since the rear quarter has a big dent and crease in it and will need to be replaced. Other than that, the floor pan patches and rocker need to be cleaned up and finished on the driver's side.

I decided to put a 5.3 drivetrain in it. I am shopping the salvage auctions for the right donor truck but hope to have one by next week. We are hoping to have the firewall and jambs painted and engine in place within the next month or so. We will be using the Pacific Fabrication kit that includes the crossmember and engine mounts. We will also be installing a 4" lift and painting the axles and underside of the tub when the engine is dropped in. The frame has already been sandblasted and primed.

A couple pictures taken today of the passenger side of the tub.

We got to work on the driver's side rear quarter. I bought an aftermarket patch panel since you can't get the whole bed side but it really was not a good fit so we scrapped that idea. We had a long bed from this era in the yard and after cutting a section out of the center of the panel, RJ had it looking great. It needs a little touch up but turned out really nice. Now we have one more patch to do and finish up the rocker and the driver's side will be done.
