Brake Questions??????
My pops just bought a 63 swb 2wd. we got a front stub out of a 85 chevy 1/2 ton. we want to get power steering but not power brakes. But we wont be putting the front stub in right away. i was wondering what i can do to get a dual master on the truck now with the drum drum setup and what i will need to do to get a disc drum setup on it when we swap the stub. So what master should i get and do i need a drum drum proportioning valve or can i get a disc drum one and use it on the drum drum....? Thanks

Re: Brake Questions??????
well what i have done in the past is pulled a disk setup off of a 71 and put it directly on a 67 with all drums and had no probs or what i am about to do with my 65 is get a dual master cylinder off of a 67-70 truck and use it as i am not planning on going with power brakes on it

Re: Brake Questions??????
For a manual drum/drum system you want a '67-'70 manual master cylinder. They don't use a prop valve per say, but more of a junction block. When you convert to disc/drum, then you will want a manual master for a '71 to '76 or so truck with the corresponding prop valve.
