Re: shipping doors
Not sure... I used heavy gauge cardboard and wrapped the heck out of it.

Re: shipping doors
Ernesto shipped me a fender, built a wooden crate, worked great, you could do doors the same way.

Re: shipping doors
This is one of my concerns, and my doors when I order them will have to make it over the pond.

Re: shipping doors
I got a pair of doors from Ortegamotors shipped Greyhound. He just wrapped them up good in heavy cardboard with the edges padded up real good. The window area was open, which made handling easier. I think Greyhound tries to handle things pretty carefully, compared to anything that goes onto an airplane or is carried by freight companies. Figure, they are mostly handling luggage with the owners right there. There's not enough room to pile things up a lot and riding low in the belly of an air-ride bus is about as smooth and less shifty as it gets. I've never had a fender, tailgate,Stepside fender,or doors come damaged that was wrapped in cardboard through Greyhound. Can't beat the price.

Re: shipping doors
Go Greyhound .. go to a bodyshop and ask for their old boxes, I had to ship suburban doors and just got boxes from newer suburban doors, amazing how close in size they are..best yet they didn't cost a dime!
Hope that helps
