99-02 Silverado Seats...How Easy to Bolt In?

New to the board but I have been lurking for a while. I recently bought a board member's truck, and it has the factory bench seat in it. I am wanting something more comfortable, and I'm considering a 40/20/40 split bench with fold down armrest from a 99-02 Silverado. I like these because it has the integrated seat belt. My question is for those that have done it. What modifications did you make to get them to bolt in?

Love the board! Looks like a lot of practical do-it-yourself guys!

Thanks!

Welcome, you will find that this place has a wealth of knowledge and millions of years of combined experience.

Here are some pics of what we did to my floor pan to modified it for the seats.

Keep in mind that if you are a tall person you may want to look at some different seats, there is not room to move the seats forward and back.

I'm 5'8 and I fit nicely in the seat. The distance for me to reach the steering wheel is perfect for me.

Here is what I did:

Since the photo was taken I have installed a 2005 center seat and it bolted in the same holes.
