Why are these different?

I am going through my collection of small parts looking for the best of what I have as I start piecing my project back together and came across these. Are these year specific? The lighter assembly is longer than any of the others I have and has a different style electrical connection. The wiper switch is identical to the others I have except it has a longer shaft. What can you tell me?

Re: Why are these different?

There were 2 different lighters in almost all GM cars and trucks. Casco lighters and Rochester lighters. You can read Casco on one of them in your picture.
