mini starter problem

I put on my mini starter and only used the purple wire like I have heard to do but the motor wouldn't turn over. I have a new wiring harness built to use a HEI with. Also I do not use the yellow wire right? What am I forgetting.

Re: mini starter problem

Starter doesn't turn, or the engine won't start?

Re: mini starter problem

Try switching the purple wire to the other small terminal if it has one.

The yellow wire is for points ign. HEI wire goes directly to distributor.
