That's beautiful, Bennett. REALLY beautiful!

I've been diverted for a few days. Had to go pick up my newly built ride in Santa Cruz.

Lots to do on the truck. And winter's going to be closing in (again). But I'm only one guy.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Got the power steering working two weeks ago. Replaced the front brakes this week and adjusted the parking brake.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Well, I did make it over to the shop today. Climbed under for the thirtieth time (still up on jacks in the front) to check the front brake line connection. New SS LMC lines. They don't send you a "T" with the "kit"....
.....So I am using the old one. Leak...leak...leak. Now I can't figure out whether there's a leak, or the brake fluid is some that I missed last time... that just hung on the coiled wire covers until I wasn't looking.
Maybe it was from the twenty-eighth time I was under there "adjusting" (tightening and adjusting) the lines. If there's any more fluid there next time, I'm going for a new "T".

Also, I got the speedo gear housing changed out. Since I'm chasing leaks, the trans needed some attention. With the advice of some Forum Members, I switched it out and wore a "clean suit" while I was under there.

If it's anything like the brakes, I'll be fussing around with it for another year before I feel the breeze in my face.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

FINALLY got my brake lights fixed! Turns out the problem was a bad turn signal switch. Between this and my never ending horn problems, I know WAY more about the steering column now than I ever dreamed of or wanted to. Oh, and if you are going to replace the brake light switch in one of these trucks, do it while you're young, before you get bi-focals and arthritis .
