New here from Long Beach, CA

Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to this site but I've been on other forums for several years now. I recently joined this forum because it's time for me to start the frame off on my 72 K10. My dad and I worked on her from around 1986-ish till about 1995-ish. It was an awesome father & son project, we originally had a built 350 with a SM 465-205 set up. 14" lift on 44 Gateways (she rode like a tank). My dad had her painted in 1988, unfortunately the shop that did the work didn't replace the cancer like they were supposed to, all they did was pack in the Bondo .
She was given to me as a graduation gift in 1998, I drove her for a while, swapping between my first car, a '72 SS Nova, which is under going a frame off as well. In early 2003 I started wheeling her, later that year I did major work consisting of a D44 with ARB locker, 14 BFF with a Detroit Locker, ALCAN Springs, built 350, rebuilt SM465/ 205, 4.11's MasterCraft Seats, tweed interior, sweet sound system, JAZ 32 gal fuel cell and much more. After years of abuse and lots of fun in the snow, rocks, mud and dirt, I've decided to retire her from the abuse and restore her to the sweet ride she should be.
I've learned quite a bit here and hope to add some of my knowledge for others to come. I'm very excited to have found this forum with so many sweet trucks and followers as well.

Welcome to the best place on the net to learn and hang with people who are all about old Chevy iron trucks!

Love seeing another 4x4 join the ranks!

Can't wait to see more on your truck, it sounds like it's got a lot of sentimental history which is totally cool.

Again, welcome.
