Make sure you grease those u-joints. Did it seem to bind when you put it back in, I thought I heard you say jimmy had the shaft custom made for you when you put the 8 in make sure you have enough play on the yolk. A dry u-joint can bind a yolk that way. JM2cents

hee hee --- funny - that's the first thing my brother checked after we started hearing the noise ---- he broke out the grease gun, and really greased the heck out of those joints --- but it didn't fix the squeal...

as for the shaft --- yes - this is the drive shaft that jimmy had made custom from a little local shop here in indiana....i might have thought that it was the shaft binding it up like that (since it was custom) --- but since we pounded down those slivers of metal in the tranny housing, i came to the conclusion that it wasnt the drive shaft....

i might have to go back and rethink....

longhornmail, you walk on dangerous ground, dont you!

This is late, but there's NOTHING like wheelin' in a Blazer! Amen Brother.

(In all fairness though I must say I did have a good time flogging my 71 CJ5 in High School... until the girlfriend rolled it- in town no less! BAH!)
