Re: air tool question?

The only problem I have with those is on a hot day they oil TOO much and what you are working on gets covered in oil spray..

When I go to use my tool I just drop 2 or 3 drops into the air chuck before I connect the line seems to work fine for me.

Re: air tool question?

another thing about those oilers is they also oil the air hose itself, usually not a problem, but can be if you're doing something like painting etc.

Agreed. Those stinkers can make a mess, and more so if they have no adjustment and flow too much oil, like the 2 I bought.

Re: air tool question?

How much good would I do if I added a inline moisture filter?

Re: air tool question?

Yep. It's simply called air tool oil. Can be found at any hardware store like HD, Lowes, etc.

If you don't have a water trap on your compressor, A LOT.

Most all compressors have a drain and if attended to diligently,
your moister filter would be just another important back-up.

As the guys say, keep your tank drained and lube your air tools.
All will last longer and not create problems if you paint.

If you paint, the added filter won't hurt but oil in the airlines will.
