Transmission issue
Hey fellow chevy lovers,
My name is Chad, i have a 1990 light duty 3/4ton 4x4 with a four speed with low gear. my issue is my tranny is pushing all the gear oil out the vent tube on the tranny. i've had a mechanic look at several times and no one can figure out what is causing this issue. i am open to any suggestions. or ideas as to what might be causing this. thanks chad |

Re: Transmission issue
Hey Chad, Welcome to the forum. It sounds like that a vent is stopped or something. Not sure if they have a vent. I have never worked on one, but maybe a trans guy will help you out.

Re: Transmission issue
ok thanks, i'll check into it. never had a standard tranny do this before usually if they leaked it was because of a bad seal or something, in this case thats the only place its coming out of is the vent tube.
