ccsb questions

When you guys shorten your frame what do you do on the driveshaft?
Do you stay with a two piece or do you go to a one piece?

Also when installing mid 80's suburban seats do you need any brackets out of the burb other than the tracks?

You will probably have to stay with a 2 piece drive shaft. Check with whoever is going to make or cut your drive shaft, but I believe if the drive shaft is going to be over 70" they recommend staying with a 2 piece. With a CCSB, yours should be over 70". Hope this helps.

I was hoping i could use a 1 piece, guesse i will wait and measure it after i get the frame done.

i used the 2 piece on mine, had to have the rear piece cut

Swapping burb/blazer buckets into a truck that had a bench seat does require inner bracket stanchions to keep the inside of the bucket seat level w/the outside. These could be made w/some steel plate bent up to the right dimensions or you can knock-out/cut them off of the floorpan from the donor vehicle.

i just cut my drive shaft down a few days ago, you cant go over 68"....i also am putting bucket seats in mine from a suburban. with the seats, i we just made some small brackets out of steel and bolted it to the floor..they hold up fine and look pretty good. do you have pics of yours?

I only have one pic right now, going to pick the truck up Sunday. Po had to pull the bigblock out, i putting in a 5.3 and 4l60e. I'll post up some pics when i get in Sunday night.
