Another FNG with a Burb

Well I finally traded off my 66 Fury and got this, 1965 Suburban 4wd 8in Superlift and 35's on a 79 Burb frame, think that is going to change a little as those TALL blocks scare me. It has a Brand new 454 ,ceramic coated headers with auto trans, 12bolt rear I think and front ???. 4x4 works great , I took it across my test track aka my screwed up front yard with its 7 ft dropoffs lol it did great,it needs a little rust repair but came with new patch panels for the rusted areas and at first glace it is rough but then I look in the back and realize that the only thing I need to do is learn to weld better, need a hood tree fell on this one . I also need to find a good set of fenders so I don't have to try to weld these lol, It came with spare passenger door in excellant shape new rockers, floorboards etc. It is in pretty good shape for the age. It is going to be my Bugout and camping rig to take my daughter and my son who has severe CP camping. The fluid leaks are from the Fury, I have found no leaks on the Burb. SO what do ya think ,good deal? or ROFLYAO? Original paint was light blue but may change, give me your ideas lol. Maybe Pink? because my 7yr old girl just informed me that it is going to be hers when she is old enough to drive and won't the boys be so jealous, Daddy. lol . I am looking forward to all the knowledge you guys have, I am going to need it lol.

Welcome aboard and great rig! That thing looks pretty solid in the pics. Glad to see another suburban getting some much needed love.

Cool truck. And yes, paint it pink ...I dare ya! I almost bought a factory pink GMC 4x4 burb this summer, but passed for lack of project time. That color is soo bad, that it's good. No, it's great! The GMC guys all say, "Hey, it's salmon"

Welcome to the forum

Looks like a good Burb to work with. I agree with getting rid of the blocks in the rear. I would do a shackle flip instead to make up most of the difference.
