These can really be dressed out.
I forget the name of the site, but there is a guru how-to on these out there you can look up.

If you pop over to my Car Domain and look at my 66 Tempest you will see an example of what I am talking about. In there I have an overhead cam 6 that from the factory was putting out probably 165 horse.
With a "sprint" cam, split intake and exhaust, pertronix ignition and coil, 7-8gpm fuel pump, and a 4bbl carb I am now pushing out on-near or around 215hp.

They are fun motors and get really appreciative looks at the car shows where you cant turn fartwise without hitting a V8.....
