Re: Any guaranteed fit Headers for a 350/SM465 combo?

Heddman made the only set I could find that would work with the mechanical clutch linkage when I ran them on the Jimmy. Not sure if they will work on a 2x4 or not. But they tuck nicely in between the frame rails in the 4x4 version unlike the two wheel drive ones which are just stupid low. It looks like 68-82 Corvette headers would probably work in a 67-72 2x4 application FWIW.

I just put new Hedmans on my '86 K30 454 because the PO had put 2x4 headers on it and had to pull the front driveshaft because where the collectors hung down. 73-87 4x4 truck headers might be a good solution for 67-72 2x4 trucks, at least for auto trans applications. My K30 is hydraulic linkage so that wasn't a problem.

They fit! Hedman P/N 69640

I had to flip the rod that goes from the Z-bar to the clutch fork, but that's it

Problem is: I wouldn't call these performance headers. Small primaries, and small collectors. But the ball flange collectors will make it worth it to me.

Running Hookers with a 327/SM465 here. The only interference I found was on the upper leg of the Z-bar. Heat it up, put a 1" dogleg to the outside and you're good.
