Re: Chevy Celebrates 100 Years Without Us!!

Chevy didn't make trucks 100 years ago. Chevy Trucks were first produced in 1918. That's why '68 was the 50th anniversary.

It's funny they talk about the Blazer being a 4x4, and the pic is a 2wd blazer. I guess it's since 4x4's are so much more popular.

It's a 100 Years of Chevy and what was made, not what was made 100 years ago.

Re: Chevy Celebrates 100 Years Without Us!!

I'm just saying the 100th anniversary of Chevy Trucks is 2018. Chevy was only a car company with no truck division until it joined General Motors. I was replying to the title. I see what the link is about now. There are far too many favorites to limit voting to those few. Lot's of inaccuracy in that link, btw.

If you really want to get technical, in 1969 it was only available as a 4x4. Just saying

Re: Chevy Celebrates 100 Years Without Us!!

Isn't that what they said? I dunno about boulder hopping, tough. That's something they never did back in '69 and definitely not in a stock Blazer. '61 is when the 409 came out and '88 was the first year of that body change ,that was released about the middle of '87...not '89. You can always tell when stuff is written by people who don't know their stuff. That Blazer picture looks like a C/20. But,that's enough criticism. Happy Birthday Chevrolet! That's what it's all about.

They've got nothing to brag about today let me tell ya. Chevy hasn't built a decent car for over 30 years! That's why their commercials are featuring old stuff so often.

Re: Chevy Celebrates 100 Years Without Us!!

The commercial I saw on TV looked like a still pic of a white stepside in this range.

Must have been a fraction of a second, or a background shot where they were showcasing another vehicle cause I didn't see it.
There might be more than one (maybe two) different commercials running.

Re: Chevy Celebrates 100 Years Without Us!!

This was the commercial where they were holding pics of older cars, often out the window of a newer car.

It'd be cool if someone could screen-cap it and post it here.
