Has anyone raised their truck bed?

This question is probably more for the step side bunch, as with you fleetside guys you have continuity of body lines issues if you raise your bed sides.

I was staring at my truck last night (no it dont mind if I stare, I think it likes the attention) and am kicking around the idea of raising the entire bed approx 4" so that the bed rails would be in body line with the bottom of my door windows, but dropping the wheel wells and steps to keep their original position with the bottom of the frame and cab.

Anyone have pics they could share if of course anyone has done this?
Or more likely, am I just a dumba$$ ??

Re: Has anyone raised their truck bed?

I've seen the exact opposite, raising the fenders to the top of the bed rail to clear larger wheels with a dramatic drop.
