This is all I have from the previous owner and his research:
Top Purple stripe is a match for 72-73 British Leyland Black Tulip BL code: BLVC 23 Dupont Laquer: 30015L NON-METALLIC and PPG MAEA 2829 Buckskin

Sorry but I am going to have to research it as well and when I get ready to repaint it will need to match up the paint I have as well.
Good luck
Matt

Re: 1977 GMC Desert Fox build thread

I registered for this forum when I saw this particular thread. You have one awesome truck there, and I can't wait to see the finished product! I am amazed at the condition of the tape stripes. Ours is really faded. My father is an original owner of that same edition & still has his. I even drove it when I turned 16 and I still do. I am going to hopefully start the body & interior restoration process on his this year. It still has the original engine....it was rebuilt a few years ago. Not sure if yours still has the little spec sheet located in the glove box or not, but just in case it may help you some, I can post a photo of it for you. Ours is still very visible and everything on & in it is original. Just let me know if you have any questions about it. I may be able to help.
