Re: 1986 chevy 1500 longbed

In my neck of the woods, that's probably a $3500+ truck. Everything is rotted out here. I'm eager to see what you got it for. Was I high or low?

Re: 1986 chevy 1500 longbed

That is a great looking truck, especially for that price. I have not seen that color combo before, but I like it. I like the dark color on the roof. When you post more pictures, shoot a few of the interior. It would be nice to see how they carried the colors inside.

Re: 1986 chevy 1500 longbed

Inside looks good as well. The truck would have been a great deal even if the interior was worn out. But it is solid inside and out. I don't remember seeing another one of these trucks with your multi-brown color combination. I am no expert, just going by memory. If I remember correctly, Ford used more brown during that time period than GM. Perhaps Keith or another member has info on production levels on various colors.

The lighter colors are difficult to clean, but the detailing guys have magic spray bottles that make it look almost new. I have had good luck with 409 spray with multiple applications.

Re: 1986 chevy 1500 longbed

For cleaning up the interior, use "Awesome" on the carpet and seat. It'll take any and all stains out and make it look brand new.
