02 Silverado, cab height topper

I have an 02 ,1500 extended(6 1/2' box). Checking with the local dealers , for new or used toppers. I dont find the color match on used, so I will likley go new on a glass topper. My ? for the guys running fiberglass toppers.... what brands are the better quality on the market? crazyL

Re: 02 Silverado, cab height topper

I had an ARE for a LONG time.
Bouncing around my farm, with all my crap in the back, I never had any problems cept the brake light not working right(who needs those, right?)

I had even drilled holes in the top and had work lights and 2 offroad lights on it.(2 works faceing back, 2 to the sides, and the offroads to the front)

Re: 02 Silverado, cab height topper

I put a Leer 100XL on my 99 when I bought it new. Never had a problem with it in all these years. I like the headliner option. It's just thin carpet glued on the inside of the fiberglass, but it sure makes for a nice topper. Can't stand the rough chopper gun fiberglass interior without the headliner. Just ordered another 100XL yesterday for my 2012 Sierra I have on order. I think it's still the best looking topper out there.

Re: 02 Silverado, cab height topper

I went the easy way....picked up a used topper. I dont know too much about the brand(snugtop), but it is in decent condition. Will need a little paintwork to match my truck, but for $150 I dont feel too bad about the black top on the dark grey truck crazyL
