west coast mirrors ?

Does anyone have any pics of the west coast mirrors ? There is a truck for sale near me and it has these cool old mirrors on it and was just wondering what they look like. I might offer him $50-$100 for them for my 4x4 I'm building !

i think $50-$100 would be a little too much to ask for these mirrors...I think they are cool too, but alot of people get trucks, and hate these because they are too big, and are willing to sell for almost nothing. Also, you could probably buy a Walmart brand set, or similar from a store, for less than that, if you aren't concerned with originality.

Lightbulb Mirror pics

Here is a set I pulled off a 68 C10. Hope this picture is helpful.
If I could figure a decent way to ship them, I would have them up for sale.

Do the truck door's of the world a favor and throw them in a trash can! I'm joking with ya, but those things really have ruined a lot of doors.

I *LOVE* my big West Coast mirrors. You do have to get used to looking around them, but I wouldn't trade mine for any other kind.

West Coast Jr

Yeah, West Coast mirrors rule. They are really steady and you can scan behind you (for cops, like) at extreme distances. Truckresq's are the same as on my '68 pickup and are listed on the glovebox sheet. They're called "West Coast Juniors" -- the full size West Coasts you'll only see on a semi-tractor. Another neat feature is the swing-away hardware that lets you fold them back to get by tight places or use a car cover. They will pop right back to original focus. The ones in the pic would look cool if re-powdercoated white.

They do look really good on flatbed's and bigger truck's but overpower a 2wd truck. Just my 2 cent's worth.

But if you pull a trailer on occasion you need bigger mirrors. I would love to have a set of the original swing out mirrors that came on the camper specials.

I won't run any other kind of mirrors on my panel.I don't think they look great but then neither would the dent I got from not being able to see. They really aren't worth much.I have had several sets given to me over the years but I'm not near my resources right now.

I have 2 different styles available. I think they are 67-68 and 69+. I get $25 per set and have 1 set of each. The 69+ are pictured above in the post by truckresq.
