Am I missing a seat part?
This just dosent look right. A hex seat adjusting nut that sits on a round hole? Looked all over the pLace and cant find a picture of how this seat adjusting screw is supposed to look. Any pictures or referance to a diagram would be appreciated.

Re: Am I missing a seat part?
It is kinda hard to tell from your pictures what I am looking at. If it is for the part that leans forward (seat back), then yes - it looks like you should have a couple of nuts
![]() First 2 pictures, drivers side. 3 picture passenger side. Hope this helps. Keith |

Re: Am I missing a seat part?
Thats it LiL. Thanks for the pics. Very helpful. Seems like the 2nd nut should be a little larger than the single nut on mine. Or, a washer the size of the surface where the nut sits and a small nut that would go through the hole.

Re: Am I missing a seat part?
You should have a wing nut on the very bottom on both sides

Re: Am I missing a seat part?
If you have a wing nut on the bottom then the seat back won't lean forward. Mine is a 1968 chevy bench seat.

Re: Am I missing a seat part?
Hey Keith, My 67 came from my Great Uncle whom bought it new but I did remove the passenger side one so if I needed behind the seat I would just have to remove the one on my side and not walk around the truck.

Re: Am I missing a seat part?
Thanks to Tim Christian, Heeroyue2002, and Arl37, I learned something new today. Yeah I would have been in for a rude surprise if I got into a fender bender and the seat goes flying forward. I still only have the lap belts too!
![]() Thank you! Keith |
