shorty headers on a lowered truck?
Who makes a good set of shorty headers for a truck with a 4.5 / 6 static drop? Who makes them and how much?

Re: shorty headers on a lowered truck?
I used a set of dynomax 3/4 length chevelle headers on my truck, but its not that low. I used them to keep from seeing the long tube collector underneath the truck. I cant stand that........
I got these almost ten years ago. I know I put up the part numbers a few times on here, but I cant seem to find it now....

Re: shorty headers on a lowered truck?
I'll do a search too but if you can find the part number, I'd really appreciate it. Do you have pics of yours?

Re: shorty headers on a lowered truck?
I plan on installing McGaughy's 4.5 / 6 drop kit. I was assuming I'd need shorty headers to keep the exhaust tucked up higher. Am I wrong? I don't want the exhaust too low with the addition to the drop kit.

Re: shorty headers on a lowered truck?
I had to use shortys, made by Hooker but can't recall the type. Not sure if the tag has a part # on it but I can look for you.

Re: shorty headers on a lowered truck?
I'm in the same boat. I don't plan to radically lower my truck, but I'd prefer shorty headers over full length and would like to retain my current exhaust with minimal changes. Most of the catalogs only seem to sell full length.

Re: shorty headers on a lowered truck?
Alot of guys here use a Chevelle/Camaro type shorty header for their trucks. I ordered a cheap set from Skip White Performance for my truck to install with my new engine this winter. I got the idea off of the suspension forum for bagged trucks. I have a static drop around 5/7 now but I wanted to bag it later. Here is the thread. Notice how it sits at the frame rail with modifications.
