Help in ID'ing this '87+ 5.7 year engine pls.

Prior, prior owner yanked the original I6 out of this '80 K20, and put this later model 350 in. I put the intake manfold on, thinking it was around 1990ish heads. I'm want to order some Hedmans for it, and was wondering what the year range it might be. When did the exhaust ports change from oval to rectangle?

Thanks!

Those will have ovals, just like all the old stuff. Pretty much any header will fit.
Fitment issues arise when you start running aftermarket heads with huge exhaust port openings.
