Re: These Bombs are going to be LOUD

Truck looks great ! There are still a few old timers around who look down their noses at "trucks" --- i think it is an aversion to something that is made to work or something
i have some customers like that in my business --- they may have 2 E-class Merc's in their nice garage, but have to have delivery from home depot - or rent a truck --- worthless

The goofy 4 door guy doesnt realize your truck is worth more than his car either ---

I hope the bombs work out for ya --- i couldn't deal with the noise myself unless the truck were strictly a bar-hopper or car show cruiser

Not saying I don't like loud exhaust, just not a huge fan of cackleing exhaust.
Wow, that's pretty harsh.

That's exactly what I was thinking... I'd take a 67-72 swb truck over a 4 door '57 ANY day.

I might have to get a set of them for my 37 Chevy truck when I finish that thing.

Re: These Bombs are going to be LOUD

Man oh man.......I am in my garage as we speak building an exhaust with an X pipe and flowmaster 40s. I am pulling off what you are putting on. You might not but I came to realize that there is a point where it is just TOO LOUD and doesn't sound good anymore. No since in video taping it. Most home cameras don't have the correct filter to pick of the noise correctly and it will just sound distorted.

I think what you really need to do is tape a 100 yrd burnout!!!!!

Re: These Bombs are going to be LOUD

Just to clarify....these are for when I WANT it to be loud. I've got a magnaflow setup for everyday driving, takes about 10 min. to swap out.
And check out my posts in this thread....I know all about LOUD.
Thanks for all your comments.

And for all you folks in Georgia....I'll apologise ahead of time for when I fire this up.
Goodnight....from Central Florida.

Loud is a full tilt dirt modified or Late model motor with straight fenderwell headers turning 7500 at the top end of the straightaway.

Re: These Bombs are going to be LOUD

Well I finally got to drive the Camaro down the street last night. It was a quick trip but man what a difference from the header packs. Much more quiet at idle but still a very deep, powerful note. When you start to roll into it though......It sounds freaking wicked. Granted, it's a shorter exhaust than what would be ran on a truck but I have re-sold myself that it's only Flowmaster 40's for me (and the X pipe is well worth it).

Yes, that is a home made system too!
