TH350 Not returning to 1st gear at stop.
TH350 Not returning to 1st gear at stop.
seems like it wants to take off in 2nd or 3rd..sometimes when taking off if you push pedal down too much truck starts jumping and shaking terrible. if i let off gas and get in it slow its fine. Whats making it not return to 1st? |

sounds like a valve is stuck inside the throttle body , can you put it in manual low and get first gear?

alright well then you know that first gear is in operable condition so it has to be a valve that may have debris in it, take it to a trans shop they should agree that its a valvebody problem since you can drop it to first and make it work fine
im assuming its an all stock trans/no modifications?

i have to the same prob with my th350 tried all kinds of things to fix it but havent got it worked out yet because its my daily driver. if you get it fixed let me know what you did. mine worked fine untell i blew up my motor then it sat for a year or more untell i built the new motor ever sence then it has done it. something internal is prob sticky because sometimes mine down shifts to first on its own most of the time it dosent
