Fasteners

Can anyone tell me what type of bolt head holds on the filler piece between the grille and the hood of a 71 gmc , a half inch socket is to big and a seven sixteenth socket is to small I am wondering if it takes a star type socket , there are four of these holding the trim piece to the front fender?
