Getting the !@#% windows out of a door
OK, I give up. There has got to be an easy way to do this. I am salvaging the guts out of (2) 72 doors. I got all the screws out, but the rest of it seems to be a Chinese puzzle.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I got the first one apart, but there has got to be an easier way. I'm thinking that I should leave some of the screws in like maybe the regulator until I get the glass out.
Correct me please 1) roll the damn glass down before you remove all the screws. 2) pull the rub trim where the window goes into the door 3) Get the wing window out 4) fight the glass out without using a hammer 5) take all the rest of the stuff out. I will see if that works any better.

We really got to get the search mode back in operation. I've posted LOTS of info on windows in the past while it was still fresh in my mind. I've forgotten most of it now. I do remember one thing that isn't in the instructions in Haynes. And that is to loosen the track for the main window before inserting the vent window. Its much easier when you have lots of play in adjoining parts.

What southpa said.Loosen the screws at the bottom of the rear track. If you look inside the door you will be able to see where the window rollers fit thru a groove in the track. This is the place to get the rollers out.I tilt the glass to make it easier to get out.

I suggest removing every bolt/screw you find! I've done many so it's easy to me now.
I agree with the others, wing has to come out first. By loosening up everything else, you can slide the main window back on it's track which helps aid in the removal of the wing. Take your time and have Patience ! LOL

take the vent screws out and turn it sideways.crank the window up all the way and slide the window off the rollers.works easyer if the felt&wiper are out.tape the frame when you put it back together so you do less damage to the paint
