help

i have a 1986 silverado c/20 crew cab this thingy wont let fluid through what is it i have fluid in front of this thing but not behind????????

look at the lmc catalog, they have all the break diagrams to id parts.. my book is for older trucks.. but you can access these on line and they will send you a hard copy, no charge

i looked and looked i even have a haynes book in front of me and the brothers book too.ive looked for hours now and nothing, i did find that its a height sensing proportioning valve i think?

It is a proportioning valve that as you add weight to the bed of the truck and it sits lower to the rear axle it allows more braking on the rear axle it could have dirt or rust in it not allowing fluid through it. I believe you can take them out with out any severe consequences.

it ajusts to the the rising of the back of the truck
in hard braking weight goes forward,rear goes up
this makes the front work harder,
have had these fail on lowered dodge vans....and the brakes seemed to not work
it should be able to move freely

Its moving I put a new buster and master cylinder on and I cant get fluid to bleed tthru it

When you are bleeding the brakes are you getting fluid from the rear brake cylinders? If not it could be the rubber hose or clogged bleed screws.

No its not coming put of the valve cus it gose In but dont come out the out side
