Re: speedo cable adapter?
I`ve read that some models in the GM line up used a adapter...why I`m not sure, but this may be one case.

Re: speedo cable adapter?
Years ago I had a Super T10 4 speed from a1982 Pontiac and it had a weird adapter mounted for the speedo cable. I ended up replacing the tail housing and eliminating the adapter. I don’t know if this was common to Pontiac automatics or was something unique to the factory 4 speed. Here are the only poor quality photos I have showing the adapter:

Re: speedo cable adapter?
You may have to change out the speedo gears.

Re: speedo cable adapter?
my main problem is ,is that the cable is the same size, but the pontiac cable sticks into the gear about an inch farther than the chev.
the top of the pontiac cable clips on, wheras the chev screws on, so that won't work at the speedo head. I was thinking maybe there is something that would go inbetween the stock 63 cable and the th350.

Re: speedo cable adapter?
Take a look at www.texasIndustrialelectric.com/speedo.asp. They may have something that will help. I'm dealing with a similar issue.
