Steering Column help
Would anyone happen to have an exploded view of a 64 auto column. I pulled mine out to weld the retainer tabs back on and as you know one thing leads to another. I would like to try and freshen it up while I am in there. There is no telling what I may be missing or is put back together wrong given the PO track record. I have some play in the wheel itself like the center shaft is missing a bearing. I do have a bearing behind the horn contact but the play is so bad that it will click the horn relay just by moving the wheel around.I would also like to try and replace the shift bushings too and can't quite figure out how to get to them.

Re: Steering Column help
I am having the same problems.
So far I know that the turn signal cam has a bearing (upper) in it that helps tighten up some of the play in the steering shaft. I have seen the upper and lower bearings in catalogs.... But look out for an upper bushing to help support the shaft. I hope someone can offer more support cuz I need some help too. Posted via Mobile Device
