Hectic around my place

Well since I last posed on here I blew the 307 up in the 1986 c10. I tore that truck down and am starting to rebuild it.I scraped what was left of my 1986 k10 and I bought a 1987 v10 with a brand new good wrench 350 in it for 800 bucks but the cab is to far gone to repair. Now a week ago I totaled my M1008 cucv into a tree with a load of scrap because of a steering/brake failure and this week I bought a m1028 to replace the M1008 because it was my daily driver. I also picked up a dana 70 dually rear for free. So basically my house looks like a scrap yard and my parent are not very happy with me but hey just doing what I like to do.

The 87 v10

the 86 c10 being taken apart(2 wheel drive title thats why its a c10)

frame being striped , found out it is a 1981 chevy k10 frame

the 1986 m1008(no the rears are not for sale)

Last but not least the new m1028

To tell you the truth, I dont know how I walked away from the wreck. The cab was pushed in like a foot in the back.

Wow, you wrecked that one pretty good, glad you are ok. Are you parting the wreck, I might be looking for one of the rear frame cross memebers. How did you score a repl truck so quick?

Re: Hectic around my place

I was actually planning on bidding on that truck but with what happened to the other one I had to replace it. Might be able to help you with the crossmember depending which one because I need the little on in the back for my halfton.

Re: Hectic around my place

Wow the front bumper ripped right through. Next time be sure your vehicle is in tiptop shape, it could have been another car that got hit head on.

Re: Hectic around my place

You can do all the maintenance you want to a truck or car, that does not stop parts from failing EX. power steering pump or from a flapper in a hydro hose braking free and blocking a line. I put 11,000 miles on that truck since February of this year, I drove it every day. I change my fluids and checked every thing at 3,000 miles each time.
