What is this?

Found this tucked up out of the way while changing the leaking low oil pressure switch (near the oil filter) on my '87 4.3 Silverado. The wire is in the same plastic corrugated conduit as the pressure switch pigtail. It is some sort of round snap connector (part of the outer cover seems to be missing), the tan-ish inner surround is some sort of flexible rubber-like material, and the center "probe" is metal.

Just can't figure out where this is supposed to go. Can anyone clue me in? Go ahead, make me feel foolish. And thank you.

Re: What is this?

Thanks Motornut. Give me a hint as to where it plugs in, I've looked pretty thoroughly in the area that the wire can reach and can see nothing. Appreciate the help.

Re: What is this?

It would be screwed in where the drain plug is on the bottom of the block in the middle. Some one probably done away with it and put a plug in instead.

Re: What is this?

Found it. Guess my search wasn't all that thorough. Got a different view angle since the last time I was under there. Big fitting on the oil cooler line in the way, poor light, laying in a stone driveway, waanh, waanh.......

Thanks again, guys, I'd almost think you have a place in Heaven, almost.....

If you ever need any advice on how to be henpecked, I'm your guy!
