My budget build/fix up 90 SWB Cheyenne
Ok so I picked this up from my moms co-worker for $300 bucks good tags till 7/2013 4.3L th700r4 ran like crap when I picked it up would rev up out of gear good and then in gear big loss of spark turns out so far just needed a tune up did that and have put about 60 miles on it since seems to be running good still a bit cold blooded but goes good. I will been looking to swap the front for a dual head light set up and grill.
So what all do I need for the other set up core support ect... I'd like to lower it, can you guys input on the lowest I can go with out c-notching or having to run different inner front fenders. Also cheap lowering methods? Pros and cons maybe? Here's some pics of how it looks now. |

A 2/4 drop is what you want if you do not want to c-notch it.
The worst part of a 2/4 drop is the hanger swap involves grinding the rivets of the factory hanger to bolt in the new ones. The front would just be a spring or spindle swap to get the 2" drop. I would consider do a 4/6 with a bolt in notch if possible. You wouldnt have to change inner fenders or anything with the right tire size. |

Shoot yeah. $300 and it drives? Good deal for sure. I'd like to find one like that.

Ooh, modern shop truck!! Needs some faded lettering on it.
And like JWall said, 4" is as much drop as you can get in the back without a C-notch. Have you looked in the junkyard for a front fender yet?
