Just had a thought and wanted to know.Has anyone ever seen a 3 hole cluster with a tach?I mean a factory one. I don't recall ever seeing such but i guess it would be possible.

Because of the location of the blinkers in the 3 hole cluster it's not possible. I actually started modifying a 3-hole cluster to put the fuel gauge in the center opening and a Z-28 tach in the right hand opening, but I found a good gauge cluster before I finished it. I have some pics somewhere I'll post up later on.

Re: Cluster ??'s

Before I added a small Autometer tach, I saw a conversion for one online somewhere. I just mounted mine to the top of the steering column. Not exactly for pretty, but you cannot see any wires. Are you going for the factory look or do you just want to know what the rpms are?

Re: Cluster ??'s

The Z53 guage package was included in the U16 tach option, so if you ordered the tach you got the oil water and amp guages also.

Re: Cluster ??'s

Here are some pics of what I was describing - because of the indicators, the center opening can't be fully utilized in the 3 gauge cluster

*Please see post #10* I have never came across it as of yet, but while on the same 3 hole cluster subject, pictured below is a factory 3 hole sw dash that I found earlier this year. Have had and or parted more than my share of trucks over the years and have never seen another like it, anyone else? This cluster was listed like normal as option #U15 and was pulled from a loaded 68 gmc 1500 custom that also had a 396/Th400, 12 bolt posi, buddy bucket and even the rare optional #A85 shoulder harness setup.
