Lost highbeam switch: 87 Signal Lever Question
Hi all;
in the process of taking my steering column apart to replace key cylinder I lost the spring for the high beam switch which is actually the turn lever when you pull it forwards. Right now it doesn't click back automatically to its set position, it just stays losely where it gets pulled or pushed to. Pictures of my style of lever are attached. Does anyone have any links or pictures of what that spring looked like or can show how the turn signal level should be put back together so I can see if I just forgot to hook something up?? Thanks!!

Re: Lost highbeam switch: 87 Signal Lever Question
There is a plastic gizmo that has to be positioned just right to activate the high beams. It helps to use a little grease to hold it in place. There are great pics and instructions here:

Re: Lost highbeam switch: 87 Signal Lever Question
The Gizmo got caught in the Whachamadingit, and the piston got hung up in the driveshaft, and caused the carburetor to rust out...
