Expansion foam for sound deadening...
A guy at my work said that one could take Great Stuff Expansion Foam and use it between the inner cab and the outer cab ceiling to help deaden cab sound. Has anyone ever hear of this or tried it?

I don't think I would,might draw moisture and cause sweating = RUST

Tha closed cell foam is tha kind to use..open cell would let water into it..it's be discused a few times here..

I did EXACTLY like that in my 71 Camaro a decade ago. Even though the car was rarely outside over the years.. I had to replace the whole roof skin. It was DESTROYED with rust.

DO NOT USE Expansion Foam in between panels. You can very easily inject too much foam and turn a smooth panel in to a bag of marbles. Its an inexpensive product that can have very expensive results.
