Will 1969 6 lug rims fit on a 2004 Silvardo

Hello,
Was just curious if rims from a 69 C-10 would have the same bolt pattern as an 04 1500 Silvarado.
Thanks,

if they are 6-Lug, then yes. I am not sure about 5 Lug. Pretty sure on the newer trucks, 2wd's were 5 lug and 4x4s were 6 lug. Be careful because one of those years around 04-06 they started running bigger brakes, and you wont get anything smaller than a 16" wheel on there without serious grinding on the caliper.

Re: Will 1969 6 lug rims fit on a 2004 Silvardo

I would love for others to chime in on the subject especially to hear about the disc brakes and the 15"rim. My 04 halfton is 6 lug but does run 16" wheels. I just bought a 69 that has a couple of 6 lug 15" wheels and was hoping to run them cause I am in need of 2 tires. I have many very good 15" tires and would love to run them on the Silvarado. I don't mean to come off as a compete idiot but could I run them on the back? Are the back of the 04 drums?
Thanks

The more i think about it, i'm almost positive you would have to grind the calipers. I had a buddy with a '97 Tahoe who couldnt run 15's. Based on that, i would say a truck as new as 04 would definitely require 16's

Re: Will 1969 6 lug rims fit on a 2004 Silvardo

the pre 71 rims had a differnt rim profile design that cause all sorts of disc clearance problems on acars and trucks of all manufactures

the other thing that is not so good about those earlier wheels is most were in the 51/2wide range and what you are running now is probally ay least 7 wide

The older rims won't be hub centric on the newer truck either. The center hole is a lot smaller on the new truck. Same reason you can't run late model 6 lug wheels on an older truck. 8 lugs sure, but not 6 without boring the center of the wheel out.

your wrong the 1999 chevy 6 lugs will not work on are old chevy trucks them 16 chrome steel wheels with Chrome on black wheels the real cheap wheels i tryed to put them on a 1966 long bed for one they use a bigger wheel stud then are truck ever will use and that why they wont work one other thing there too deep of a wheel. you think you have steering problems now that will will hit the frame and sharp turns are a thing of the past are wheel wells are not that deep

I have 70's 4X4 rallys on my 95 Silverado. They bolt right up... ...after quite a bit of grinding on the corners of the calipers to clear the welds on the inside of the rims. All I know is that they look great and I think Chevy should have put them on at the factory.
