hard top door seal help

Hey all, I just bought the weatherstrip (from LMC) that goes around the door glass on the top and drip rail deflectors. I see how the deflectors mount to the A pillar but have no idea how the seal and the deflector tie together. And since there are no holes in the weatherstrip for the little clips to go through into the top, do you have to poke holes in them?

Anyone have any detailed pics of this area? I did a search but came up empty. Any help would be great. I like pics. I can take some of the area described if need be.

Re: hard top door seal help

The deflector has two screws on the a pilar and three screws that go into the fiberglass on the top. It fits outside of the window weatherstripping. Install the window weatherstripping first, put the top on the truck (if it isn't already( then install the drip rail deflectors. I find a little bit of weatherstripping adhesive helps prevent water from getting past it.

I think that BobbyK posted some photos of the driprail install last fall.

Thanks bouncy, that helps. But one of the pics show the deflector in first is this wrong? If not what goes between the deflector and the top since there is a recess in the top.

thanks jim
