WOW! NICE 65 C20 custom camper for sale (Hemmings)

Price VERY reasonable, borders on a steal in my book when you consider the condition and options.... (not mine, nobody I know, I'm Jocko and I endorse this disclaimer). What does sound a little fishy is that it's a 65 and he refers to its "original" 327 - I thought that was only an option on a 66?? Nice a/c dash and all the correct holes, etc - but none of the engine compartment stuff (compressor, etc). Still darn nice truck if you ask me and worth every penny if you're looking for a C20 custom camper.

I thought you could get the 327 in 63. It came out in 62. 7500 seems like really good deal

The 327 first came out in '62, but not in pickups, unless it was special ordered thru COPO. The 327 first came out as a RPO, regular production option, for c20's in mid '65 and the custom camper option came out at mid year '65 also. '66 was the first year for 327 in c 10's as regular production option. This custom camper is very well done and looks like a great deal if your into 3/4 tons.

Aha! Thanks factorystock - I was thinking C10s only, thus my buffoonery. So this is likely the original engine. I agree, nice truck.
Were those rear helper springs specific to the custom camper option?

Beautiful truck. I believe I have seen that same truck for sale a while back. It would be hard to believe that it would be hard to sell at that reasonable price.

Something strange though, that truck and many, many other trucks I see for sale, have no Clutch and Brake Pedal Pads. It would be one of the first things I would put on. They are readily available and not expensive....

It doesnt look like the cab and doors line up with the bed and fenders. Do you think poor cab alighnment is due to the cab mounts being bad?

Looks like a pretty awesome truck.

I noticed that too. He also said something about adding the chrome. Something went a little mis-aligned somewhere.
