1967 ram assist-short water pump-alt. bracket pic needed

I'm having problems find the right set up for my 67 that has ram assist and a short water pump. I have tall valve covers and now I have no room for alt. belt adjustment. I'm using the 67'68 style mount with ram horn exhaust.

Any pics or ideas would be great!
Thanks.

Your pictured lower alt bracket is the correct exhaust manifold mounted 68 and prior piece, but that upper piece is the later 69-72 swp "short" type adjuster. Below is a picture/thread link from a 67 CST w/power assist steering that I parted out a few months ago, check out the upper alt adjuster bracket. Mel

Is there any way to use one of the holes in the head, shim spacer, etc.? It (the head accessory hole) looks like it lines up even with the intake. Brainstorming!

I'm currently dealing with the same problem. After putting on new edelbrock valve covers I can not seem to find a proper belt to fit. The upper support isn't long enough and I am planning on putting new headers on and realize that my bottom support for the alternator bolts right into the ramhorn.

Drill and tap the boss on the intake manifold.... That's what it's there for.

You might get some ideas from this thread...
