trim moulding?

I have a 71 c10 that i bought a few weeks ago now. The fenders have the moulding on top and bottom but the doors dont have spots for the moulding. This is my first c10 so how hard is it to add moulding to the doors or would it be easier to try and find doors with the moulding already?

Thanks

Re: trim moulding?

The upper molding is easy to install on the doors, but the lower door molding can be hard unless the doors are off. My '71 has the factory holes for the lower trim a little less than 1" in from the edge of both the front and back of the door. The front attachment clip on the lower door molding that goes through the front hole needs a nut on the back side. This nut goes on behind the lower door hinge, it is very hard to get to unless the door is off or the front fender is not yet installed.

Re: trim moulding?

You can use barrel nuts to install trim in the hard to reach places. NAPA part # 665-1457
